Earl Beatty School Advisory Council (EBSAC)
Welcome to the parent community for Earl Beatty Jr and Sr Public School

EBSAC is thrilled to announce our Earl Beatty Read-a-Thon Fundraiser starts today to help support purchasing needed technology at school! We are looking forward to students flexing their reading muscles and challenging their literacy abilities! Don’t be shy, pick up a book to get started. Remember all reading counts in our Read-a-Thon!
Pledge forms are attached here along with instructions and the option to go online to donate to our cause. Remember to select TECHNOLOGY FUNDRAISER in the drop down of where the funds should go. If you need a printed version of the pledge form to keep track of your pledges please see the office and ask for a printed copy there.

On Friday May 27th, EBSAC will tally all the books read and donations received to celebrate our reading adventures!
EBSAC will have a great prize for the whole school at the end of the fundraiser…perhaps freezies for all?!?

Don’t forget to wear pink tomorrow! April 13 is International Day of Pink!
π³οΈβπ
The International Day of Pink is a worldwide anti-bullying and anti-homophobia event held annually during the second week of April. Similar to Pink Shirt Day (held in February) in that it also seeks to end all bullying, the Day of Pink is more specifically aimed towards anti-LGBTQ+ bullying.
π³οΈβπ
A little background about the day:
π³οΈβπ
The event began when two Canadian high school students noticed a gay student at their school being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. The two students got everyone at their school to wear pink the following day as a gesture of support, inspiring Jer’s Vision (now Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity) to establish the International Day of Pink.
π³οΈβπ
Don’t have a pink shirt? Don’t worry! How about a pink hat? Hairband? Sweatband? Pink pants? Bracelet? Anything pink will do!

Earl Beatty acknowledges and supports the International Day of Pink!

Anyone else done with stinking Covid?
Cases are on the rise and we know itβs a pain to wear masks BUT we would love to see masks worn inside the classrooms.
If you or a family member have Covid, please email Nina to let her know so that families can make their own decision about exposure risk.
Together we will keep our community safe. Thank you for all your efforts!!

Calling all bakers! Ms. Garbutt’s Grade 5 class, with support from the Earl Beatty community, will be holding an outdoor BAKE SALE after school on Monday May 2.
